Marengo County Professional Learning Experience

During the 2013-2014 school year, ALL Marengo County teachers have been involved in professional learning groups focusing on the implementation of the English Language Standards and creating classrooms that are increasingly more student-centered. Every school has hosted a session during the year. A total of four sessions have been held, two per semester.

During each session the teachers plan, implement and reflect on lessons they teach together. This experience has given teachers the opportunity to meet with other teachers across the system to share ideas and begin collaborative teaching and learning conversations on a more regular basis.
