As we begin this new and exciting school year, we hope the blog provides helpful information of upcoming professional development opportunities, additional resources, and learning taking place throughout the region. Recently, UA/UWA ARI regional staff
facilitated an instructional partners/coaches and literacy coaches three-day
new coach orientation at Tuscaloosa City Technology Academy. The participants
learned about the responsibilities their new role entails. Some of the
responsibilities include developing effective communication skills, providing
job embedded professional development, supporting teachers with the
implementation of the most effective instructional practices to ensure all students
learn at high levels, and developing a schedule that prioritizes needs based on
data. Fourteen participants representing Tuscaloosa County, Hale County,
Marengo County, Sumter County, Fayette County, and Demopolis City participated
in this learning opportunity.
